Angelina Tala

Director


Angelina is a professional writer, LAS motion picture/theatre instructor, and published journalist. She is a passionate writer and educator who seeks to educate through her writing and within the classroom. In addition to her role as Writing Center Director and LAS Instructor, Angelina is an active member of NYFA DEI. Outside of N

Angelina is a professional writer, LAS motion picture/theatre instructor, and published journalist. She is a passionate writer and educator who seeks to educate through her writing and within the classroom. In addition to her role as Writing Center Director and LAS Instructor, Angelina is an active member of NYFA DEI. Outside of NYFA, Angelina is a Narrative Designer for G5 Entertainment, a leading developer and publisher of mobile games. She earned an MFA in Screenwriting from the New York Film Academy and a BA in Journalism from Brooklyn College, with a minor in Television and Radio, and a concentration in Photography from The Art Institute of Florence.

John Russo

Tutor


John Russo is a writer from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and Comparative Literature. Russo studied at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles where he received a Master’s of Fine Arts in Screenwriting. He's currently developing comic books, features and television pilots.

Rachel Brown

Tutor


Rachel earned an MFA in Screenwriting from Chapman University and BA in Film and Media Studies, along with a Double Minor in English and Comparative Literature and Theater from Occidental College. Rachel has a background in both academic and creative writing tutoring, as well as expertise in film genre studies. She's currently developing feature screenplays and television pilots.
